Our software client is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to develop and maintain technical solutions that adhere to engineering and architectural design principles while meeting business requirements. Provides technical expertise with a focus on efficiency, reliability, scalability, and security; includes planning, evaluating, recommending, designing, operationalizing, and supporting solutions in compliance with enterprise and industry standards.

Required skills

4+ years of experience with data science, ML engineering, software development, mathematics, and/or analytics, including in a professional or academic environment
Proficiency in Python programming
Knowledge of statistical measures, including confidence intervals and significance of error measurements, and developing and evaluating data sets
Strong experience in NLP, NLU and NLU using transformers & deep learning including tagging, syntactic parsing, word sense disambiguation, topic modeling, contextual text mining, or application of deep learning to NLP
A solid mathematical and statistical foundation with an understanding of how to apply ML concepts (e.g. training, optimizers, regression, classification, etc.)
Demonstrated strong problem-solving ability: analyzing real-world problems and formulating solutions, iterating and formulating, shipping, and making an impact on products for customers

Preferred skills

Knowledge of deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, etc
Experience with Large Language Models (BERT + GPT)
Experience developing statistical and simulation models
Experience in natural language processing topics
Experience developing experimental and analytic plans for data modeling processes and using excellent baselines
Ability to accurately determine cause and effect relationships
Experience working with industrial scale models on distributed infrastructure (e.g. AWS)

Phd in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field

Notes

The base pay range for this position is $200,000-$250,000/year, which can include additional on-target commission pay/bonus. The base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Stock options and other incentive pay may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the position ultimately offered.
