About the role:

At prestatech we are dedicated to bring the most effective approaches and technologies to the banking system, and for doing so, we do need the best talents around. So, if you’re a senior data scientist with a great track record of success, tremendous passion for "moving the needle”, have strong interpersonal skills and prior experience in fintech – we’re looking for you! You would be joining a flexible and dynamic team and your role will include:

• selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques
• processing, cleansing and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
• deep dive on the problems using SQL and scripting languages to drive solutions leveraging Statistical Analysis
• collaborate closely with the development team to recommend and build innovations based on Data Science
• manage your own process: identify and execute on high impact projects, triage external requests, and make sure you bring projects to conclusion in time for the results to be useful

Requirements

We are looking for smart, motivated and unique talents, willing to aim higher and able to work in an agile and energetic startup environment. Ideally, you'll have:

• minimum 7 years of experience in the field
• excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms
• experience with common data-science toolkits, such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit Learn
• experience with programming in Python
• ability to write maintainable code and unit tests
• experience with code version control (Git)
• experience with data visualization tools
• experience with SQL or/and NoSQL databases
• Experience in Azure cloud services
• applied statistics knowledge, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression analysis
• BS in Computer Science/Data Science or related field (MSc is a plus)
• previous experience in financial services is a plus
