To continue elevating its work around the world, PAI has created a new role for a Director of Partnership Development to oversee the organization's business development efforts across multiple sectors including corporate, philanthropy, government agencies and other nonprofit organizations to advance PAI's mission and programmatic work.

ROLE SUMMARY
The Director of Partnership Development will cultivate and manage PAI's community of partners and help deepen those 360-degree relationships to ensure engagement of partners to build on the organization's founding commitment to multi-stakeholder community-building by focusing on interconnected and reinforcing points of accountability, actions, activities, and expertise required to fulfill them. Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, Philanthropy, and Partnerships (CSOPP) and working closely with the CEO, Partnership Development, and Program and Research teams to create new opportunities for new business as well as maintain an effective pipeline of current partners.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Act as a change agent encouraging the organization to embrace a culture of change, while readying it for near term fundraising and engagement efforts.
- Cultivate and engage Partners, funders, and donors as thought-partners and collective problem-solvers working together to ensure positive outcomes in the field of AI.
- Work closely with Program team and field operations to ensure seamless implementation of partnership integration within the operations of PAI partner Regions.
- Manage a tight team of direct reports and support the Partnership Development team with team building, professional development and collaboration to ensure adoption of organizational priorities and shared goals.
- Strategically manage new business pipeline, working alongside the CSOPP and the Partnership Development team to develop funding and sponsorship opportunities.
- Utilize appropriate metrics to provide and deliver comprehensive reports on engagement results for the CEO, CSOPP, leadership team, and the Board of Directors.
- Work closely with colleagues for management of proposals, grant deliverables, and reporting for partners.
- Collaborate with Partnership Development and Program and Research teams to create tools for successful collateral, presentations, demos, case studies, and publish on-line tools and offline content that will inform and inspire constituents to join and stay engaged with PAI.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A passion for Partnership On AI's mission
- 5 – 7 years professional experience in client facing activities including business development, operations, project management and/or sales & marketing.
- Experience working closely with highly invested corporate executives providing them with quality support and engagement, increasing their partnership.
- Demonstrated ability to make things happen, focused on achieving targets and goals.
- Superb relationship builder; an excellent collaborator; humility and a sense of humor.
- Track record of developing and retaining talent; a leader who motivates and energizes colleagues.
- Strong communication skills with excellent attention to detail and follow through.
- Bachelor's degree required; higher degree such as MBA or equivalent masters preferred.

- PAI is headquartered in San Francisco, with a global membership base and scope. This role is eligible for remote work within the United States with no requirement to be located in San Francisco. We do not offer visa support for this position at this time.
