MACHINE LEARNING ENGINEER
, Jameel Clinic for Machine Learning in Health (J-Clinic) , to contribute to the development and deployment of state-of-the-art AI technology, collaborate closely with world-class researchers, gain access to MIT's extensive resources, and liaise with industry partners. Will take the lead in deploying machine learning models developed within J-Clinic’s cutting-edge laboratory, facilitating groundbreaking applications in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and healthcare sectors; lead open-source efforts significantly impacting multiple areas of science and society; advance AI adoption in J-Clinic partner industries by understanding their specific requirements, customizing models, and ensuring seamless integration; and collaborate with J-Clinic’s research team to address engineering challenges and contribute to the development and improvement of novel algorithms and models.

REQUIRED : bachelor’s degree; five year’s software engineering experience with a focus on machine learning projects; proficiency with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch); strong problem-solving and programming skills, with an emphasis on Python; excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences; and experience with model deployment and tools such as Docker and Kubernetes for scaling and managing containerized applications. PREFERRED : experience with ML operations (MLOps) tools and practices for deploying, monitoring, and maintaining machine learning models in production environments; thorough understanding of and ability to apply machine learning principles, algorithms, and tools; experience with geometric deep learning; and familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) and their respective machine learning services.
