As a Machine Learning Intern at Zuma, you'll contribute to the development and improvement of Kelsey, our flagship conversational AI product. Under the guidance of our seasoned Machine Learning engineers, you'll explore cutting-edge language models and engage in hands-on application development related to Search and Conversational AI. This role provides invaluable experience in a fast-paced startup setting. It's an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of Natural Language Processing and Language Model Learning, making a tangible impact on our products.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist in the development and improvement of Kelsey, focusing on LLM enhancements to our conversation AI and search products
• Support the team in working with SOTA models, exploring new NLP architecture patterns, and models for application development
• Contribute to the AI platform side of our codebase, gaining experience with Python and relevant tools
• Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and contribute to the project's success
  
  
  

Qualifications and Skills

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
• Basic understanding of Python programming and a willingness to learn more
• Interest in Natural Language Processing and Large Language Models
• Familiarity with or eagerness to learn about LLM architectures and NLP applications
• Enthusiastic about working with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
• Open to learning and contributing to engineering practices such as code review, writing tests, and agile methodologies
