The role in a nutshell
Kin + Carta is looking to hire a motivated and talented Azure Solutions Architect to join our Microsoft Alliance team. This is a customer-facing role, and you will own the technical relationship and strategy between the customer and organisation. You will lead architectural design sessions, develop proof of concepts/pilots, implement projects, and deliver ongoing refinement and enhancement. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cloud technologies and a growth mindset to continually learn and thrive.
What you can expect
- Advise stakeholders and translating business requirements into designs for secure, scalable, and reliable solutions.
- Assist in designing, building, and implementing cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure.
- Understand customers’ overall infrastructure estate, IT and business priorities and success measures to design implementation architectures and solutions (Microsoft and 3rd party solutions)
- Understand the foundational requirement for App migration and modernization
- Have an understanding around the implementation of AI services on Azure
- Collaborate with the team to define project requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for secure deployment in the cloud.
- Continually analyze the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
- Data estate modernization experience
The type of person we’d like to meet
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in cloud computing, preferably with Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with Azure services such as Azure OpenAI, Azure Studio, Azure ML, Power platform and other Azure services
- Understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends.
- Good knowledge of networking, identity and security
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice to haveÂ
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect – Associate.
The interview process at Kin + Carta
Here’s what to expect from the interview process at Kin + Carta:Â
Intro Call with the Talent Team (30 mins) – If your skills and experience match the role requirements, our Talent team will contact you to arrange a call. The aim of this call is to get to know you and for you to find out more about Kin + Carta. This call can be held either by telephone or Zoom. After this call, if we feel like you are a good match for the role, you’ll be invited to a first-stage interview.
First-Stage Interview (30 minutes) - This will typically be a Q&A style interview, lasting approximately 30 minutes. This process is designed to help our team find out about your skills and experience but also what you enjoy and what motivates you. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask our team questions and learn more about us! If you are successful in the first stage interview, you will progress to the next stage of our interview process
Second-Stage Interview (60 minutes)- This interview will consist of a technical interview that you will be given the brief to in advance to allow you to prepare. It’s a chance for our team to see how you apply your skills and experience and assess how that matches our expectations for the role. It’s also a chance for you to meet more of our Kin (that’s what we call our colleagues here at Kin + Carta).
Making a Decision - Following the interview process, our hiring team will get together to discuss feedback and make a final decision. We aim to get back to you as soon as we possibly can!Â
